The Republic of Moldova has made its contribution through its experts and continues to hold membership in a number of important United Nations bodies, such as the Committee on Population and Development, the Commission on Social Development, the Committee Against Torture, UN Economic and Social Council.

At the moment, more than 20 specialized agencies, funds and programs have offices in Chişinău, which have assisted and continue to support national authorities in promoting reforms in the various sectors of the national economy.
